The Achievement Academy, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Nevada Corporation.

Our Mission is to improve the lives of individuals with High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders

by providing them with tools to achieve their full potential academically, emotionally, vocationally and socially

and become independent, contributing members of our community AND their families.

THE ACHIEVEMENT ACADEMY, INC. is a non-profit, autism organization that offers three programs located in Henderson, Nevada:

 

· Achievement Academy school for children with High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders -- with an emphasis on academics taught at ability level and daily social skills & life skills training.

· Achievement Vocational & Life Skills Academy for individuals 14 years and older with High Functioning Autism Spectrum disorders - which provides employment, living and social skills training.

· Asperger's Syndrome / High Functioning Autism Support Group -- a monthly support group and hotline for parents and educators of children with these disorders.

 

Recently the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released new autism prevalence rates - 1 in 88 children

(1 in 54 boys) in the United States.  Also, the national unemployment rate for working aged adults with autism is reported to be between 75-90%.  Organizations such as The Achievement Academy, Inc. believe it is very important to help individuals affected by autism receive the academic, emotional, social and employment skills they need to become contributing members of society.
