The Achievement Academy is located in beautiful Green Valley (Henderson, Nevada) on the campus of DJ’s Community Christian Academy, a premier private school for children in grades kindergarten through eight. Daily inclusion with their typical peers during the most unstructured social times of the day — lunch and recesses — enables our students to develop appropriate social and peer relations skills, in addition to making new friends.
Our students have a world of potential in many areas that has yet to be developed. They simply need extra help and support to convert their potentials into abilities. The Achievement Academy offers a supportive environment where children have opportunities to shine and be challenged each and every day. Our passionate teachers use innovative, research-based instructional techniques and learning strategies to keep our students engaged and bring that potential to light. We also follow the evidence-based School-Wide Positive Behavioral Supports Model to develop and reinforce students appropriate behavioral expectations.
In addition to offering the core academic subjects taught at ability level, we enrich our program with daily social and life skills training, in addition to music, art, library, and physical education classes. And we keep our class sizes small, so each student receives the educational care he or she deserves. The Achievement Academy is more than just a school. Our students, families, and staff comprise a caring and supportive community that works together to make sure that our kids excel both academically and socially.
